This year Omni Communications Group celebrated the holidays with a potluck holiday party and an ugly holiday sweater contest. All Omni employees brought a dish to share and needed to find and wear a holiday sweater to compete for the title of “THE UGLIEST HOLIDAY SWEATER OF ALL”. The judges for this contest were thirteen year old Olivia and her best friend, and the competition judging was complex with scores tabulated in 5 categories: 5 points for originality, 5 points for ugliness, 10 points for Christmas spirit, 2 points for first impressions, and 8 points for bad fit adding to 30 points total for the perfect ugliest sweater of all.

All the Omni staff gave it a great try, but Aaron’s sweater was judged to be the overall winner and ugliest holiday sweater. Kathy’s sweater was judged as a close runner up. It should be noted that Jill, Laura, Susan and Jessie were really close with their scores and the sweater Dennis wore was judged the least ugly (or most attractive) holiday sweater of the bunch. Congratulations to the winner, Aaron, who found his ugly sweater at Goodwill! Following were the scores in the close and competitive ugly sweater contest: Aaron 29, Kathy 28, Laura 27, Jill 27, Susan 27, Jessie 27, Tracee 25, Jean 24, Dennis 17.

Omni wishes everyone the happiest of holidays and a healthy and prosperous new year in 2009.
